Four‑Vibration‑Source Square Gyratory Sifter High Capacity Square Tumbler Swing Screen for Silica Sand Biomass Wood Chips Screening

This equipment is widely used for the processing and screening of materials such as wood chips, sawdust, biomass energy sources, alternative fuels, and RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel). Characterized by high throughput and screening efficiency, it is suitable for the classification of dry materials in lump or granular form. Designed to operate in conjunction with wood chippers, the equipment effectively separates fines and oversized pieces from wood chips—or extracts mineral contaminants from waste wood—thereby facilitating subsequent recycling or thermal treatment. The company has successfully obtained a national invention patent for this product.

The four-drive, ultra-large rectangular gyratory screen is primarily driven by a 15 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor; it generates a reciprocating elliptical gyratory motion via V-belt and synchronous belt transmissions. This motion is transmitted through components such as the screen box and screen mesh, causing wood chips to continuously bounce and slide across the mesh, ultimately achieving particle size classification of the wood chips.

This overseas client operates a large-scale mineral and biomass processing plant, where the screening stage of the existing production line was facing significant bottlenecks.

Standard vibrating screens lacked the capacity to keep pace with upstream feeding; excessive machine vibration caused severe impact on the factory foundation; the limited number of screening decks prevented simultaneous separation into multiple particle sizes; and rapid screen mesh wear necessitated frequent shutdowns for replacement and maintenance.

After evaluating multiple suppliers, the client contacted our technical team—providing material samples, capacity targets, and site layout specifications—to request a heavy-duty rectangular tumbler screen capable of processing quartz sand, wood chips, and mineral granules. Key requirements included high throughput, operational stability, and multi-stage classification capabilities.
